UDDI's Third year is taking up the challenge on working and improving the urban infrastructure this semester. Public Health is a matter of Urban Designers! We learnt that only 50% of household waste water is being treated before discharging to the canal network. BMA is planning to build more waste water treatment plants in the future.
Bangsue waste water treatment plant is the only underground waste water treatment system in Thailand. It integrates the plant-based water treatment system on its rooftop to provide public space for recreation purpose. The building itself offers exhibition space and public library: in our visits, our students learnt about this model and how we can improve and adapt this excellence in different realities.
