Entry Requirement

1.Applicant’s qualification

An applicant must currently be studying or satisfactorily completed Year 12 of secondary education or its equivalent that complies with the curriculum of the Ministry of Education (Thailand) or its equivalent from other countries (grade 12 or equivalent) with the cumulative GPA of not less than 2.5.

 

An overseas applicant must satisfactorily have completed Year 12 of secondary education or its equivalent that complies with the curriculum of the Ministry of Education (Thailand) and obtains the certificate, the official transcript of General Education Development (GED).

 

An applicant must submit one of the following test results for evaluation

–       Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) (Math 450, Critical reading 350)

–       Chulalongkorn University Aptitude Test (CU-AAT) (Math 450)

–       SMART 1 (Math 40)

–       International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma (Math 5)

–       A-Level or NCEA or NZQA (Math B or Achieved)

–       IGCSE or GCSE (Math not less than B)

 

2.English proficiency requirement

An applicant must have one of the following English proficiency results

Test results must be attained within two years of application submission and must be submitted before the interview.

 

3. Portfolio is required to be submitted during the interview stage.

 

Qualifications

1. An applicant must completed Year 12 (M. 6) of secondary education of local school, international schools or its equivalent that was certified by the Ministry of Education (Thailand) with the cumulative GPA (Year 1012 / M.4M.6) of not less than 2.5

 

2. For an applicant currently studying or completed studying abroad or by educational system abroad:

Qualification

  • An applicant must be currently studying Year 12 in that country or
  • An applicant must completed Year 12 in that country or
  • An applicant must completed an education equivalent to Year 12 in that country

Result

  • An applicant currently studying Year 12 in that country must have cumulative GPA of at least four semesters not less than 2.50 or equivalent to 2.50.
  • An applicant completed studying Year 12 in that country must have cumulative GPA of not less than 2.50 or equivalent to 2.50.
  • An applicant completed studying from the USA must obtain the certificate of General Educational Development (GED) and the Official Transcript of GED Test which have GPAX not less than 2.50 or equivalent to 2.50 and must have SAT score or equivalent of not less than 450 in Math and of not less than 350 in Critical Reading.
  • An applicant completed studying from the UK must obtain the IGCSE or GCSE or GCE OLevel certificate and passed more than five subjects. Each subject must receive grade C or above. For GCE AScertificate, an applicant must passed more than 3 subjects and each subject must receive grade C or above. For GCEALevel certificate, an applicant must passed more than 3 subjects and each subject, including Math, must receive grade C or above.
  • An applicant completed studying from the New Zealand (NZQA) must obtain the NCEA certificate, Record of Achievement and a letter that identifies level of study, subjects and credits from NZQA not less than 80 credits while Math score must be Achieved’.
  • Remark: The equivalent scores to SAT Math are International Baccalaureate  (Math) of not less than grade 4, CUAAT Math of not less than 450 or SMART 1 Math of not less than 40.  

 

3. An applicant must have English language test score of one of the following tests: TUGET not less than 500, TOEFL Paperbased not less than 500, TOEFL Computerbased not less than 173, TOEFL Internetbased not less than 61 or IELTS not less than 6.

 

4. In the case that an applicant does not have the English language test score as indicated in topic 3 but has excellent study record, the faculty may accept the applicant to study on the conditions that an applicant must have English language test score of one of the following tests: TUGET not less than 400, TOEFL Paperbased not less than 400, TOEFL Computerbased not less than 97, TOEFL Internetbased not less than 32 or IELTS not less than 4.5. The scores as indicated in topic 3 and 4 must be within 2 years from the exam date to the interview day.

 

5. An application must have specific intention to apply to and study at the Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Thammasat University

  3. An applicant must obtain one of the English Proficiency results of the following; TU-GET 500, TOEFL paper-based 500, TOEFL computer-based 173, TOEFL internet-based 61 or IELTS 6. Summer School SAPPK 2018

Summer School SAPPK 2018

Summer School SAPPK 2018 is a special two-weeks program initiated by Architecture Program, School of Architecture, Planning and Policy Development, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia.
This program will explore new approaches and methods in the design process, harnessing the advancement of digital tools applied to and assist in architectural and built environment design and planning. The aim is to introduce and embrace a new way of iterative tooling mechanism, enabling the coherent interplay of material, technology, and architectural form – the Digital Tectonics.

Goal

The program goal is to introduce and provide students with set of knowledge, understanding, and skills of computational design for architectural design process of synthesis and analysis.

Program

Summer School will focus on computational design methods as a new paradigm on architecture and built environment design. This topic will be discussed through lecture series and workshops. The lecture series will address the following topics:

  • Generative and Evolutionary Methods
  • Physical Prototyping and Digital Fabrication
  • Urban Modeling and Simulation
  • Bioclimatic Design and Evidence-based Analysis

While the workshops will be conducted into two topics:

Workshop 1: Digital Tooling & Algorithmic-based Form Finding and Optimization

Workshop 2: Environmental Modeling and Simulation
